Aircraft Tracking System R&D Project (HATS)

Low altitude traffic cannot be tracked with the existing radar systems, especially in mountainous areas. Continuous tracking of these aircraft is necessary for aviation safety. On the other hand, considering that GSM coverage is not sufficient especially in rural areas, this project was realized with the aim of ensuring uninterrupted tracking of aircraft such as helicopters flying VFR at low altitude with both GSM and satellite systems.

ATC Control and Radar Control Simulator R&D Project (atcTrsim-1)

The Air Traffic Control Simulator software, which can provide basic, refresher, adaptation and advanced Air Traffic Control trainings, where structural changes in the airspace can be designed and their effects can be analyzed, is an Approach / Area Control (APP / ACC) Radar and Tower Control (TWR) Simulator developed entirely with domestic and national facilities. Tower Control Simulator software with 360-degree visualization has been obtained with 3D models. Approach/Area Control and Tower Control simulation software, which can work integrated or completely independent of each other, have been obtained.

Air Traffic Controller Selection Software R&D Project (KONSEY-1)

A software has been developed in which the skills required for Air Traffic Controllers (reflexes, three-dimensional thinking, quick decision making, visual and auditory memory, attention, cross-checking, reasoning, etc.) are tested securely in an electronic environment. It is a software that can perform operations such as training, licensing and rating of Air Traffic Controllers, and conducting exams for the renewal of their ratings.

2012

Avian Radar R&D Project (KUSRAD -1)

In order to prevent bird-aircraft collisions in critical areas at airports, an domestic Bird Radar System and a National Surveillance Radar (MGR) were designed according to the requirements of air traffic control radar (ATC) systems.

2010

2015

ATC Tower Control and Approach/Area Control Radar Simulator R&D Project (atcTrsim - 2)

In the project, which is the second phase of the ATC Control and Radar Control Simulator R&D Project (atcTRsim-1) developed between 2010-2013, the necessary hardware of the software developed in the first phase was procured and installed at the Aviation Academy Facilities within Esenboğa Airport. Started at the end of 2014, the project was completed in February 2017 and the 360° TWR and Radar Simulator installations were successfully installed at the Aviation Academy with the national simulator software project.

2017

Distance Education and Information Sharing Portal R&D Project (KONSEY - 2)

With the project, which constitutes the 2nd phase of the Air Traffic Controller Selection Software R&D project carried out between 2010 and 2012; the software developed in the KONSEY R&D Project and started to be used in the annual degree renewal exams of Air Traffic Controllers was further developed by means of modules to be added to meet the needs of AIM and Aviation Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) and to meet all needs.

KUSRAD Installation R&D Project

The Bird Radar R&D Project involves the installation of a horizontal and vertical radar system at Istanbul Atatürk Airport.

2014

2016

SSR Signal Processing R&D Project

The project involves the indigenous development of SSR and ADS-B signal processing capability based on cooperation with the 1090 MHz frequency transponder device on aircraft, and the production of the standard ASTERIX CAT048 data format. Within the scope of the project, which was completed in June 2018, SSR signal processing system and 11 ADS-B receivers were produced and installed at our airports.

2014

2016

Original CWP (Controller Working Position Interface Software) R&D Project

The project was carried out to develop the infrastructure and systems required for the provision of air traffic services such as monitoring, guidance and control of traffic in the Turkish airspace, and to integrate them with the air traffic control systems currently in use at various levels.

2014

2017

Foreign Object Debris Detection Radar (FODRAD) R&D Project

It is a project to develop a national FOD (Foreign Object Debris) detection system supported by millimeter wave radar and optical sensors in order to maximize the flight safety level in PAT (Runway-Apron-Taxiway) areas.  It is actively used at Antalya Airport.

2014

2018

TAMAM (Modernization of Turkey ATM Communication Infrastructure) R&D Project

It is aimed to analyze the communication system performance, which is the most important element of Air Traffic Management Systems, with scientific methods and to provide features that will enable the EFS (Electronic Flight Strip) and Remedy products being developed in the Original CWP R&D Project to communicate with other systems.

2015
